New Fees for HMO licences

From 1st April 2019 the fees charged by Bradford Council for initial and renewal HMO applications will change.

A recent court decision means that councils now need to split licensing for HMOs fees into two parts. Bradford Council has reviewed their fees and will now need landlords to pay an initial fee before they can start looking at a licence application (this applies to both new and renewal applications). The amount of the initial fee will depend on the number of occupants the property is suitable for.

Once an application has been processed, an invoice will be issued to the person applying for the licence. This second fee will reduce by the amount of the initial fee that has been paid and also any discounts that may apply.
