Is the cost of student accommodation an issue at your university? Would you like to be involved in producing a nationwide report into the costs and quality of student accommodation in the UK?

This year marks the 50th birthday of the Accommodation Costs Survey, which is the most in-depth research report of its kind into the student accommodation market. Every 3 years, NUS, in partnership with the housing charity Unipol, commissions the project, which allows us to track long-term changes in student halls and make a real impact on making sure the sector is transparent and offers affordable housing for all students.

This year we’re setting up an advisory panel of SU Officers to provide guidance and insight on a range of issues: from the questions we ask in the survey, to improving participation, to reviewing the findings and drawing out key messages that matter to your students in the final report.
